The Innovation Showcase is a live pitch competition spotlighting cutting-edge solutions transforming the built environment. We're calling on the most forward-thinking Startups and Scaleups in PropTech to pitch their products to an audience of decision-makers from across the property sector. 

This is more than a pitch; it's a chance to connect directly with the clients that matter. 

Who Should Apply? 

We want to hear from PropTech companies building tools for key players in the property ecosystem, with a key focus on: 

• Owner & Developers (Residential - Build to Rent) 
• Owner & Developers (Residential) - Social Housing 
• Owner & Operator (Residential) - PBSA 
• Owner & Operator (Commercial) 
• Real Estate Investors 
• Facilities & Property Management Companies 

If your solution addresses the needs of these audiences, whether it's improving efficiency, tenant experience, ESG performance, or unlocking asset value, you're in the right place. 

What type of problems/solutions we're looking for? 

We're looking for companies that solve key problems in the built environment. 

Examples: For Commercial Property Owners & Operators (Offices, Logistics, Retail) 

Changing occupier needs & underused space 

→ Tools to enhance workplace experience and optimise space use in real-time. 

Lack of asset-level insight 

→ Platforms that give data-driven visibility into building performance and risk. 

ESG compliance & reporting complexity 

→ Tech that supports ESG tracking, compliance, and portfolio-wide sustainability. 

Examples: For Residential Property Owners & Operators (Build-to-Rent, Social Housing, Student Living) 

High churn & low tenant satisfaction 

→ Solutions that improve resident experience and streamline communication. 

Manual, inefficient property management 

→ Tech that automates maintenance, inspections, and compliance processes. 

Hard to track safety & housing quality at scale 

→ Tools for real-time monitoring, compliance, and safety tracking. 

Startup or Scaleup? Here's How We Classify Applicants: 

Startups 

• Fewer than 10 full-time employees 
• Annual revenue below £500K 
• Under £1M in funding raised 

Scaleups 

• 10 or more full-time employees 
• Annual revenue above £500K, or 
• Funding raised £1M+ 

We'll select 3 Startups and 3 Scaleups to pitch at the live event. Each company will receive free pitch coaching, followed by a 5-minute pitch and 5-minute Q&A with our expert judging panel. 

Selection and Assessment Criteria 

The applications and pitches will be scored according to the following criteria: 

• Problem & Market Fit: Is the problem clearly defined and relevant? Is there a strong market need? 
• Innovation & Uniqueness: How novel is the solution? Does it offer a significant improvement or disruption? 
• Impact Potential: What is the likely impact on the category (e.g., sustainability, asset optimisation, safety)? 
• Execution & Scalability: Does the team have a viable path to grow? Can the product scale? 
• Clarity & Communication: Was the pitch clear, compelling, and well-articulated?
